Remember Sara's New York premiere at HBO's New York Int'l Latino Film Festival (NYILFF) last summer? Well, Lyndon McCray & Juan Caceres from NYILFF invited Sara to screen in the NYILFF SPECTRUM shorts program at the East Harlem Int'l Film Festival (EHIFF). It's one night only: Thurs. June 2 at 6 PM / Location: Poet's Den, 309 E. 108th Street. Here's a trailer for it:
Come out and support NYILFF SPECTRUM and the very first year of EHIFF!
So remember how I submitted the "SECRETS" video to YouTube NextUp? Well, it was selected!! It was officially announced today HERE.
YouTube NextUp is an incredible opportunity that includes 35K, a week in New York City at the Creator’s camp for training and mentoring, plus promotional support from YouTube. This will all help me grow my production company, Todol Productions, and develop new films and web content - so lots more to come this year!
Here is the ‘my story’ video I had to make to introduce myself. It definitely wasn’t the easiest thing for me to do, but now you get a little insight on who I am and what’s important to me.
Very cool news. My SECRETS promo video is a semifinalist in the Youtube NextUp contest. Winners get 35K and promotional support for their project. To make it to the final round please vote for the video!
How to vote: Sign into your Youtube account (you can also link to Youtube through your google account). Go to www.youtube.com/creators?x=nextup_YVOGzDIXZsg and vote 'thumbs up'. You can vote once a day, every day until 5pm PST April 8.
Spread the word Thanks!!!
This is a promo video for an interactive web series I’m currently developing. SECRETS will follow the lives of several characters who all have a secret. Each week a new video will be uploaded and viewers will get the chance to directly influence the story and characters through voting, suggestions, and more.
Here is the teaser for a very cool project "Incredible Girl". I've been a Consulting Producer for it. The creator/lead actress of "Incredible Girl" is Celia Aurora de Blas. She is also in a 3 min promo piece for a new interactive web series that I'm developing called "Secrets".
More on "Secrets" soon, for now enjoy the Incredible Girl teaser!
Check out Sara's Canadian debut and new interviews with actor Jessica Clark and director Stan - thank you QueeriesMag!!
Also, go to Todol Productions' website to join mailing list and find out about next projects.
Thanks to "Rogue", who runs the blog lesbicanarias, there are now Spanish subtitles for Sara. I've uploaded captions in both English and Spanish. And supposedly through the Youtube translator tool you can translate captions in almost any language. I say supposedly, because I can't verify how accurate the translations are! The only for sure good translation is the Spanish one.
Again huge shout out to Rogue! It is very exciting to be able to reach the Spanish speaking audience! Rogue posted and wrote about Sara last week which you can read HERE and then offered to do the translation. Also check out "Sara corto lésbico en español" which basically explains things in spanish.
To turn on and off the caption feature - just click on the 'CC' button in the lower right corner of the Youtube video player (see image below). If any of you try the 'Translate Captions' tool for any languages other than Spanish, let me know if the translations are accurate. It would be great if Sara could be understood in more languages.
Hello everyone -
It's great to have the film finally out there for you to see and I appreciate the comments and responses to the film, to the story. I am very thankful.
As press or news rolls in they will be posted in Updates. Do continue to spread the word on your website, facebook, twitter, blog, tumblr, etc ..... and don't forget to link to the website so people can buy the digital download package if they want!
